Pursuant to Proposition 30, passed by California voters in November 2012, and extended by Proposition 55, school districts charter schools, and county offices of education receive annual funding through the Education Protection Account (EPA). Education Code Section 2575 and Section 42127.6 specify that EPA funds may be used only for instructional purposes and not for the salaries or benefits of administrators.
